Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III

We could not have presented you the best cameras currently available on the market without talking a bit about Canon's ultimate model. Although it is not at all a new model, being announced in August 2007, it still remains one of the best digital cameras out there and the only serious competition it gets is from Nikon's superb D3x.

After we thoroughly tested the EOS 1Ds Mark III we realized that we are dealing with one of those masterpieces that are able to create other masterpieces in the hands of a skilled photographer. The quality of the images we took was simply unbelievable. All the captured details are crystal clear and we have no reason to believe that anything would be too much for this wonderful digital camera. It comes with a 21.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and the camera supports 14 bit A/D conversion. The dual DIGIC III image processor is also responsible for the quality of the images and we have to appreciate the 63 focus points available.

The fact that the EOS 1Ds Mark III is able of capturing images with a speed of 5 frames per second is not at all a surprise. In addition, the 3 inches display takes full advantage of the live view function so taking pictures will be a lot easier with this model. Unfortunately, there is a bad part, the fact that because it costs around 6800 US dollars, the 1Ds Mark III will never get to be used by a common photography passionate.
